Mental Health Advocate Megan Gallagher on Overcoming Anxiety in Quarantine
It may not come as a surprise that anxiety has been on the rise since COVID-19 swept across America and the world at large. More than 30 percent of American adults reported symptoms of anxiety or depression since the pandemic, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
As a two-time TED Talk speaker, three-time author, writer and host, Megan Gallagher is using her journey with mental health to advocate for others’ mental wellness and treatment. Megan joined Ten Minute Talks to share her experiences with anxiety and tips for overcoming it in quarantine.
